Praise of the unpopulated microfauna

Self-taught, Maïlis began photography about ten years ago at the same time as his studies in biology. Concerned about the ecological issues of our time, insects and spiders quickly took a prominent place in his work; macrophotography thus allowing him to travel by simply observing the dreamlike and singular world that is offered to his feet. In order to keep spontaneity and authenticity, she only works in natural light and seizes the opportune encounters that occur during her excursions. Through her artistic approach, she humbly wishes to praise this microfauna, which is too often unappreciated, and yet invaluable.
