Quebec's forests occupy 46% of its territory and represent 2% of the world's forests. Similarly, the lakes are difficult to count, but it is estimated that there are about 400,000 in the province, which represents about 3% of the Earth's drinking water resources. When winter arrives everything becomes snow and ice and as soon as you leave the big cities many places are only accessible by snowmobile or dog sled, which is why when you come to Quebec and that one wants to see the beauty of the landscapes one cannot derogate from these means of transport which become essential to cross the immensity of the lakes taken in the ice. It is a very rewarding experience, especially when you are lucky enough to be able to drive your own sled and team of dogs and put yourself in the shoes of a musher for a few days. When the trip ends there is a small hint of sadness because over the days you end up getting attached to your dogs with whom you share a lot of emotions. For those who are less thrill seekers there are many other activities including ice fishing or walks in the forest with a guide... Essential!
